Hi, my mom just got cancer. i am a non believer of this god-bible stuff but she is a believer and she goes to church. I think that she is wasting her time cuz god dosent exist. if he does, how can he let horrible things happen to the so callled "his beloved children" or innocent people? its all bs in my opinion cuz my mom didnt ever do crap to noone or nethign bad. How come just cuz a bunch of people wrote in a book that they slapped together and called it a bible (which belongs to the fiction sec. in the library) everyone blindingly follows it?! do people ever think or do they just lack brains, or can they not see that after all these holy wars, suicide bombers, 911, cancer, TB, bubonic plague, and NO miracles, GOD DOES NOT EXIST!!!! someone please explain to me the MEANING of these religious beliefs that i can not even begin to imagine to be true,

So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!
Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!
Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?
My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...
Believer's point:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...
Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

sorry about your mother young lady. You are right about the fact that many good people suffer an unfair fate. Maybe its because perfection was never the intention. We are all slaves to chance, probability, statistics, and circumstance, but there is one thing that is clear. It is that you love your mother and that a short time with her is better than no time with her. For every bad thing that happens, there is still more good. Maybe all these terrible things are going on in the world because God wants us to know that are time is short here on Earth. So do what we have to do to work things out and become happy and at peace before we go. Stay cool.

First I want to say...I am sorry for your grief and hurt and I pray that God heals your heart & your mom.
God does exist and so does the devil. I also believe that the devil is the ruler of this world and he allows things bad to happen to distract or confuse Gods people (like yourself) so he could build his kingdom. He wants you to think that God does not exist and that this was done to hurt you. But the truth is sweetie, Gods wants you to be a help to his kingdom. Maybe just maybe, this was brought on for you to do studies and to one day find a cure for cancer and help other people over come this disease. Because you hurt so much about the situation maybe, you can be a help for the next young lady that mother gets cancer. All things happen for the reason of God's glory. Believe that God makes no mistakes and that his plan may not been seen by the human eye at this point but, his purpose will be done. I thank God for your mother because she is helping someone right now because of her faith. I think that things happen like (911 and Hurricane Katrina) to get our attention for us to get it right with him because our time on earth is not forever. I know you have a bible in your home. please read a few of the scriptures I have listed and know that god loves you and he will never put anything on you or your mom that you or her can not bare..
I pray that his peace overcome you and that you learn of his goodness, I also pray that out of all that your mom is going thru you get an understanding. I come against the attack of the enemy on your mind and pray that Gods glory is revealed!!
And by the way there are miracles everyday we just may not hear about them ..And there are a lot of women that were healed from cancer.. My sister is a survivor but unfortunately her twin was not, And we still trust God !!

I understand your pain. I too have cancer, fortunately I have something that eases it for now.
To make this as short as possible, when Adam took and ate from the apple, his sin caused the ownership of this world to go to Satan the devil. He is the cause of most troubles and problems. He is called the God of this world. And is the direct cause of your misery.I cannot sit here and write all you need to learn, but I can give you a website you can study and get the help you need. Even people to come and be with you.

1 thing is that you sow what you reap. you may not have reaped it, but someone important to you did.mabye he is trying to use her as an inspirational person that has cancer but is always a happy christian! why dont you go to an upbeat christian church and ask God for forgiveness, and just try him. when you're right with God You get these awesome holy fits! you just scream and yell, and laugh happily(not a hurting scream,) please just try him! i'm 12 years old and i have honestly felt his holy spirit moving about me.
issues like the bubonis plauge, he uses these things to wipe out bad people from the face of the earth.
i f you deny the bible too, why dont you just sit back and watch how its prophecies are coming true. just watch.

well, the famous saying of God is that he works in mysterious ways and does things for a reason, bad things happen to bring out the good in people. also he loves all of us. how sweet with a cherry on top!!!!!
even with my life, he has proven what a pack of lies he is. i know in my heart he exists, but from my experience he is no better than an average human. he only helps and blesses those he feels like. i hate him so much and am sick of his bs.

The sufferings of this life are the things that draw us closer to God, and lead us to search for answers.
Your mom didn't do anything to "deserve" cancer. It's merely one unfortunate result of the human condition.
Fortunately, your mom doesn't need to do anything to deserve eternal life with God, either.
All she needs to do is have faith, apologize to God for her shortcomings, endure what she has to endure for a short while, and then enjoy blissful eternity with him in heaven.
God himself dropped by about 2,000 years ago and shared all this and more, with us.
And when he chose to spend some time on earth, he too had to suffer.
But it was worth it, because his (Jesus') suffering made it possible for every one of us to draw closer to God.
Ever since then, suffering and death became only a temporary inconvenience, and eternal life and happiness became the new and primary objective of our existence.
You don't need the Bible to discover all this. Any good Christian should be able to explain it to you.
Why not ask your mom how she feels about it?
