Sweetheart, you may be doing no wrong, but you parents can't watch you 24/7 and they have MANY MANY sick people on this myspace and I am sure they are just scared that you might hook up with the wrong person. T hey are only trying to protect you. I have banned my 16 YO from the computer completly. I just can't take the chance. Kids these days are not cautious like we were when we were 16. Its much too dangerous. Sorry I aggee with your parents.

Myspace has really been in the news lately, and none of it has been good. Your parents are your parents. They love you and want you to be safe. Have you shown them your page? Maybe if you include them then they might feel better about it.

If I were you, I'd listen. My kid's are forbidden to go to myspace because the FBI regulates all the time, and you'd be surprised, one little "joke" can lead to a lifetime of trying to clean up something that you never meant to happen.
You are best to just chat on the phone.

myspace is nothing but trouble.
My brother (age :21+) was impersonated on myspace. Someone set up an account in his name and was setting up dates with girls and promising to send people promos & stuff, when it wasn't my brother.
Stay away from myspace. Call people on the phone.

Have them sit down and watch the news for a night or so.
IF, and I hope this is true, your not on drugs or drinking, they should see for themselves that the computer isn't as bad as what other things you could be into.
I realize that Dateline is making this a big thing about Child Peditors, and they should, so just be smart on who and what your doing online. Make your parents proud.

Well, you may not like my answer but you should listen to them, because they are trying to protect you, there are and always will be creeps and perverts on myspace.
My nephew has one and his dad limits him on it everyday because you never know who you are talking to or what the person really looks like when they send you a message.
Like I said you should listen to them, they know what they are talking about.

Say you can keep your profile private and only friends that you select can see it. You can actually do it.

Remember it could be worse what if you decided NOT to listen to your parents and came home one day and they had given your computer away .
