It means that you need to share the love that God gives you with others through giving and sharing of your gifts.

Your enemy is the devil. He seeks your destruction. There is no need to be kind to him.

it is a quote there...it say "you have heard to "hate your enemies"..but if you look up the scripture it gives reference to which is Leviticus 19:18..it does not say that at all..what it probably means is that a lot of people were saying to love your neighbor, but hate your enemy, but not knowing what the verse really said. I hope you understand what I am saying...go reread it and maybe you will understand..by the way Jesus then told them to love their enemies so what is the whole point of your question?

I haven't come across that line yet, in the bible. I have read that we should love our neighbors and also love our enemies. If we only loved our neighbors and loved ones, there would be no advantage to the meaning. But if we love our enemies as well, then we've exercised one of the most powerful blessings given to us by GOD.

I don't know what kind of book you are reading but you surely ain't reading The Bible. The bible doesn't say love thy neighbor and hate thy enemy. The Holy Bible says love thy enemy as ye love your neighbor. That is the true saying in the bible. You need to read your bible more and stop making up these silly verses when it doesn't say anything like that.

The Old Testament ( Law of Moses)says that and Jesus corrected that notion by telling his Disciples to love their enemies.

It is what Jesus said in Matt 5:43 "You have heard that it was said, `YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.' 44 "But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Are you serious? Read it again, together with verse 44. It says exactly the opposite of what you are claiming!

It doesn't say that.

It does say:

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

It means to love everyone but hate what your enemy does,(Meaning not in accordence to Gods ways) not actually the person.
Also your enemy is Satan and that we must not love in which is connected to him in any way.

Never read any scripture that calls humans to Hate! That is in direct confrontation with the Ten Commandments.
