Butter Toffee
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. butter (must be real butter)
1 c. sugar
1Tblspn corn syrup
3/4 c. smisweet chocolate pieces
Line a 13X9 cake pan with foil. Sprinkle nuts in the bottom. In a sauce pan melt butter, then add sugar, corn syrup, and 3 Tblspn of water. Cook over medium till boiling.
Cook and stir till soft crack stage (which means that if you drop a drip of into a glass of cool water it will solidify in a string, this takes about 15-20 minutes) watching carefully, it can scorch easily. Remove from heat and pour into pan, then, sprinkle the chocolate pieces over the top and spread with a spatula. Remove from foil when cool.
I love this recipe and I always get raves from it!!!!

I love home made candies. My favorites are Fannie Mae Fudge, Peanut Butter Balls, Hugs and Kisses and chocolate dipped anything!
One of my favorite recipes.....Easy to make.....And always a hit.
Oreo Balls
1 Package oreos crumbled very fine like sand (in food processor)
1 Package Cream Cheese Softened
1 Package White Chocolate
Chocolate sprinkles (optional)
Crumble oreos until they are like sand. Mix in cream cheese. Shape into balls. Place onto a cookie sheet that has a piece of wax paper on it. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes. During that time, melt chocolate. Pour melted chocolate over the balls, or roll the balls in the chocolate (whichever you prefer) Immediately sprinkle the choc. sprinkles on them. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

I love Alta Dena Dairy's egg nog - so thick you could eat it with a spoon!
My grandma's poppy seed strudel - grandma died and took the recipe with her. Missing her and the strudel. They don't make grandma's like that anymore...
