what is the # 1 goal in your spiritual life?

besides going to heaven, our your ultimate goal.,what it is you wont to obtain,to realize now in this life,.spiritual love?, peace ?pure faith?. ellimanation or control of greed?. lust?. anger?.undo attachment,? what goals have you set for your spiritual advancement.Thanks

I'm with a couple of people who've commented above me..I want to be completely dependent on God, and I want to be more Christ-like. Another goal is to learn to submit to God's will instead of focusing on what I want...I guess that goal is summed up in this hymn:


Oh, the bitter shame and sorrow That a time could ever be When I let the Saviour's pity Plead in vain, and proudly answered, "All of self and none of Thee."

Yet He found me; I beheld Him Bleeding on the accursed tree; Heard Him pray, "Forgive them, Father;" and my wistful heart said faintly, "Some of self and some of Thee."

Day by day, His tender mercy, Healing, helping, full and free, Sweet and strong, and, oh, so patient, Brought me lower, while I whispered, "Less of self and more of Thee."

1 Let go of control. Do not try to control people. I have been working on that for years. It is a slow process.

2 Do not let people control me. This is harder than it sounds.

3 Remove selfishness from my life. This is a lifelong goal.

4 Just say no. Its easy to say yes to all the things I want to do. And all the responsibilities I would like to do. But there is only 24 hrs in a day. I can't do everything. I have to set tight boundaries.

Thankfully God is not done with me yet.

Well the main goal is to develop pure loving devotion to Him. But if you don't know who he is I mean really who He is then how can you love Him. Love means a relationship. How can someone have a relationship with someone they don't really know. If the relationship is going to develop very deep. You need to know what they look like, what food they like, what they do to pass the time, everything, if you want that deep true intense love. Sharing what tiny bit I have or know with anyone who might ever benefit and personal inner peace here in this life, which is the only thing that I know exists with absolute certainty, that is all I ask.

Heaven, if it exists; understanding God and the world , if that's possible; they are only icing on the cake.

The #1 goal in my spiritual life is to maintain my relationship with God, keeping my relationship with God the best relationship I'll have always had, kept, and maintained up to my natural and physical death, because I feel my religious and spiritual relationship with God, or lackof, will be a major determining factor used in having me end up wherever God puts me--be it in Heaven or Hell.

For now, I just want to get baptized, but as for my highest set goal, I want to be able to preach Jehovah God's Word to the people and do this all my life and as much as possible.
