No. But remember if you do and this relationship lasts, she may expect flowers for anniversaries and other events. It would be a disappointment for her if you don't follow through with it.

No, a flower is more of a 3rd date type of thing where she is contractually bound to sleep with you.
For a first date, start small with something like a bologna sandwich and work your way up to the flower.
