I think the only fact that you can take to the bank is that it was written by Dan Brown, the rest is very fictional. Don't take it seriouisly, but if you enjoy a mystery, then you might like the story.

the general truth is that it is a work of fiction, but based on historical facts which astound many people and have caused world wide publicity. Do i believe in it? Yes. im not saying i believe word for word, but im saying that Dan Brown and his general idea that there are holes and mysteries in the bible is something i without a doubt believe, because there are people out there who need to be like Dan Brown and rely on "faith" and find the TRUTH about the bible, not on this fake "faith" which people ignore everything else and remain stubborn and indifferent in their beliefs, a belief need to be generate from within oneself, and not through ur family, friends, pastor, and society, so go out.. and research where the bible comes from and be unbiased about it, and there is always something more than u can imagine out there.

I believe that Dan Brown's The DaVinci Code was one of the most tediously written books I have ever tried to read (just couldn't slog through it; kept falling asleep!)...and that Tom Hanks hairstyle in the film was the worst I've seen in eons.

no, he mixes and makes up too many things
he turned me off when he said it was Mary Magdalene sitting next to Jesus at the Lord's Supper, he said there was a feminine look
in that case most of the 12 disciples must have been females since they do look feminine in that painting
it was the style of that time to paint in that manner
Dan Brown must not be able to count
there are only 13 people at the table and Jesus is in the middle, i have a copy of the painting in my living room
some disciple must be missing for Mary to be there
it's simple things like these that lead me to believe that it is false other than the fact that the Bible does not state it and if God left that part out of His Word and it really happened that would make God a liar, and one thing God can't do is lie, it would make Him deceitful and no better than man.
It says in His Word, the Bible, that God is not a man that He should lie.

No body can believe in the DaVinci Code, but if you are asking if I believe parts, or all of it to be true, I would have to say parts of it are true, and if you would do the research, you would know which parts.

He wrote it as a work of fiction. It isn't based on any facts. He made it up, like when Stephen King writes a novel about creatues or monsters.
