I refuse to date more than one person at a time, even when nothing sexual is involved. Example: I could not go on a first coffee date with one woman one day, and a first coffee date with a different woman the next day. I know I could never "speed date" or do multi dates. That would just feel totally wrong to me.

The only exception to this is if I know for *absolute certain* that there will be no chance of a second date with the person I just went out with.

Is this weird? Am I needlessly limiting myself? Am I too old fashioned? Or is this an honorable and admirable trait?

I don't think it's weird at all. And no you are not limiting yourself. How would it look if you were at a party and saw this real pretty woman and asked her out for coffee the next day. The day after the coffee date you decided to go on a date with another woman who wasn't AS pretty that you saw on the subway, and party girl happens to be picking up a late night latte. What is she gonna think? Don't you think it would be a hassle to explain...and also even TRYING to explain you're just gonna come out as puttin excuses. Avoid the hassle. Keep as you're doing. Others should learn.

i might say the ideal date etiquette could be to no longer have intercourse on the 1st date. i recognize stereotype yet i've got been on some dates the place the guy theory my penis replaced into on the menu to boot through fact the food. yet once you quite like him i might take him someplace the place you the two sense delicate and relaxed and yeah open his door and pull out his chair for him. If he seems at you humorous merely wink and smile. I disolve right into a puddle if a guy might try this for me! ideal of success on your next date!

It's an admirable trait to be that way and it shows that you have respect for woman which is a very good thing considering that allot of guys don't.... feel good about yourself and trust in your decisions, it sounds like you know how to make the right ones....

Well, it might be a little weird, but it is pretty sweet and women love and appreciate that kind of thing. Knowing that you are faithful even from the very beginning is very comforting and makes it easier to get close to you. Most of us HATE players and dogs. (Guys who try to date as many women as possible all at once.) It is very refreshing to see that there are guys like you out there and I think some woman would be very lucky to have you. You sound like a total sweetie.

it's unusual, but respectable. Most people accept that the relationship doesn't become exclusive until after you've really gotten to know the other person. Don't expect the same one-at-a-time mentality from the girls you date, until after you have "the talk"

I agree with you totally. Back when I was dating I followed the same path you are following. You're doing the right thing. Best of luck to you.

You are being sincere and honorable. Unfortunately, the person sitting across the table is probably not as honorable. Don't change anything!

I think its and honorable and admirable traid. Keep you head up cause there are few men out there that are like that. You'll find someone who'll appreciate you.
