That is just the way it is. Maybe you should forward this question to the Federal Government...

Good Luck!

The Marine Corps lowered the drinking age on some (maybe all) of its overseas duty station such as Okinawa to 20yrs. The army and the air force has been this way for awhile.. but being able to drink has caused alot of people ot get in trouble or even get killed or kill others. Drinking should not be a reason for joining.

Here's a better question: why can you get your driver's license at 16 (with very little training), and risk not only your own life, but the lives of hundreds of other people in your direct area as well, but you have to be 18 to enlist so you can risk your life somewhere else?

Could be due to medical reasons and the effect of alcohol on the individual at the age of 18 compared to the age of 21 or due to responsible drinking age. Alternatively it could just be due to the religious voters and their pressure groups.

At age 18 in the army, you still have a "mommy" looking after you. They're big, ugly and wear three stripes, and they'll kick your *** if you break their rules, even more than your mother will if she catches you drinking. You're probably safer in the army.

The children we put on the front lines of war have been asking this for generations.

They are children and boys at home but bullet catchers and old enough to die for the military. It seems being a good bullet catcher would earn you some rights, wouldn't it?

AHHH ! The injustice of it all!
