I do not think you need parental consent to become a citizen, if this is not an issue, then just go down to the immigration office and start the paper work. You might have it all taken care of by the time you turn 18. Be patient and prepare for the citizen's test.

If you've been a permanent resident here for 5 years you can apply for citizenship. You can find and application on the internet that you can print and fill out and it costs about $400.
If you're here illegally and you've been here for 7 years and have no criminal records or anything bad against you, you are eligible to apply for a visa, but you would need to meet with a lawyer for that, and therefore you would need to be 18.

If you have family there please be certain about your choice and do not let one act take the most important part of your life although at your age you may hate family they are the only ones that will stick by
