to further protect all endangered species?
Are the laws sufficient enough to protect threatened wildlife and are nations around the world doing enough to protect wildlife...?
Poaching threatens the last 5,000-7,000 tigers left in the wild.Frighteningly, there is a growing resurgence in trade and demand on the black market for tiger skins for rugs and fashion items.
Tiger skins are sometimes even seen in open markets in China and South Asia. Combined with the fact that the tiger population has decreased 95% in the past 100 years, there's no denying that poaching poses a serious threat to the few rare cats alive in the wild today. Although tigers face formidable odds,
WWF is working to help save this majestic creature. In places such as the Russian Far East, where WWF has provided protection from poachers and safeguarded wild prey, tiger populations have recovered remarkably.

No way. All my life I've been fascinated by wild animals and specially tigers which in my opinion are the most beautiful animals ever created. It makes me very upset to think that future generations won't get to be amazed by these creatures just because of some stupid person that thinks wearing fur is "Fashionable". And specially for superstitious people:
No, you don't become a tiger by wearing its fur
No, your penis does not get larger if you use a rhino's horn to prepare yourself a meal
No, you don't get the strength of an animal by eating it
And yes, strict laws are needed to defend animals world wide.

No way would I buy or wear the skin of an endangered animal. There are synthetic materials that are made to feel and look like fur nowadays so there is no excuse for people to be killing endangered animals for their skins. That is just sickening! The laws should be strengthened and enforced to the Nth degree.

There is nothing more wonderful that seeing beautiful animals in their natural habitat. Although, I have seen the beautiful tigers that belong to Siegfried & Roy here in town many times. I use to like wearing fur but I would not wear the fur of an endangered species. I liked mink and fox (which are kind of like rats) but I've stopped wearing anything but artificial fur now. I must say that I don't see anything wrong with wearing the pelts of common animals, it you eat their meat.

I wouldn't buy it no matter how fashionable it was. I mean cmon, I wouldn't want someone wearing a coat made of my skin. There should definitely be stronger rules. So many species were killed because humans killed them for their own needs. Shouldn't we learn from that. I'm really glad the WWF is working to help protect some animals

grow up sissy. wwf does nothing usefull. if you COULD buy skins of endangered animals, those animals would cease being endangered. any animal you are allowed to make a legal profit from will never be endangered. we eat millions of cows a year, yet we have more than enough. we sell house pets for profit, so there will never be a shortage of those house pets

i do not think that people who purchase such items should suffer the same fate as the animal, the animal is usually just killed.
people who do this should be made to suffer, for a long time
