I met a guy on the net a few years ago. We are in different states. We have been trying real hard to keep this together. It is coming to the point now that one of us is going to have to make a move to get to the next level of our relationship and possibly get married. We both have jobs in our own states. Mine pays a little bit more, and he has a house in his state. Both our jobs are pretty secure. Who should move ???? How can we work this out???

I think it depends on how much you love each other first. If you feel like it could work for the two of you to live together and this will work, Go for it! But make sure if you can first before you move in with each other. And it might be fun and easier on the both of you if you chose an area where you could both be happy together! Maybee both of you could choose a place to move to and start a new life there! good luck to you!

It sounds like yall have known each other, hopefully, long enough that you can believe each other to be what they say they are. This really isn't always known to be the safest place to meet the man/woman of your life. ( some are just not what they say they are, maybe married, divorced, and who knows what else ) Which state? Which one should give up his job? The man usually is the provider and should be the one to bring home the money. I don't think anyone will really be able to tell you what is the best thing to do because it involves so much more.

So you've been doing a lot of visits already, right? Do you like his location? Does he like yours? How hard will it be for each of you to find a job in the new state? If you're both feeling very good about the relationship you should be able to figure out which would be less of a sacrifice.

You both shold visit each other's place and see which would work best for your developing relationship.

I think if you own a home, that would probably be the best choice, because all the leagal and financial stuff is mostly taken care of already. You'll want as little extra problems as possible through a move. (I've been through several - military family).

Hope you find the best decision!

It depends on who is willing to give up more and who has less to lose.
I am in this current situation but it was never a question of who would move. He asked me one day "So who is going to make the leap?"
And the simple answer was him moving here because I am still in school here and then when I get my degree, we can move anywhere. His job will transfer him up here also.
He is in school, but just taking a few classes and not sure what he wants his degree in yet so it was easier for him to come up here.
We met when I lived in Southern Cali and now I have moved back home in Montana and he is coming here for me.
Who is more willing to give up everything for love?

You should start putting out your resume!
If you two decide to marry and have kids...your career is on the back burner anyway and he should concentrate on his job to maintain his home and family. Unless of course, you plan on having others raise your kids or your possibly future hubby become a stay at home father. Think of those kinds of things when you make your decision. Good luck and love.

Don't know but I can't see that a relationship started on the internet will work out anyway. I wish you the best but be careful of the choice you make.

The only thing that u can actually control are your own choices, if you feel like going down there, then go ahead. It´s about letting your heart listen to your mind.
