hey, seeking some ladies advice.
ok- so i went to school today (friday) with the intention of asking this girl if she wanted to do something this weekend... shes in my gym class but today she wasnt here. we just met in september, and we dont really know each other apart from the occasional conversation. i didnt really feel like waiting til monday, then the weekend is over and i have to wait.
so i called her when i got home from school... turns out she was sick today. anyways i told her i liked her and asked her if she wanted to hang out, maybe go ice skating at the rink with me.
she said she had a lot of homework and a couple other plans and couldnt but maybe some other time.
that answer seems like an excuse to saying no to me. but she didnt sound like she was lying... keep in mind this would be the first time a guy has expressed feelings for her according to her and my friend megan.
so is it a lie, or did she mean what she said? hell, she mighta just said that because

I dont think she was lying..ask her when she will be free and arrange a date for then.

I think she was telling you some version of the truth. Since you've said that this is the first time that someone has expressed their feelings towards her, she might just be really nervous and overwhelmed by your confession. I'm sure she'll call you or get in touch with you once Monday rolls around again. =)

well, it could be either that she doesn't want to hurt your feelings by saying no or she really does have things to do this weekend. if you feel up for it, ask her again on tuesday (or whenever) if she wants to hang out or something. good luck

I think she probably could have really meant it, or maybe since no one has ever declared themselves to her she was taken aback and didnt know what to do or say.
Congrats on having the guts to call her!!!!!!

I dont think she was lieing. If she keeps turning you down then I think she might. She could be trying to be nice.
