no offense and I know you have the right to believe as you wish, but what does paganism offer to your life? For me, Christianity gives me a Personal and loving relationship with Jesus Christ, who died and rose for our sins so we spend eternity with him.

Look I tried the whole 'Personal and loving' thing and it didn't work for me. Why? Simple, I was way to arrogent for my own good, would pray away all my 'sins', and expected to be let into heaven because I was right and everyone else was wrong. That's how I used to think, but then I started to doubt my beliefs; not because of a lack of faith, but more so a misplaced faith. I cannot believe everything a Christian Preist tells me because I KNOW things were changed in the Bible. Not deliberatly, but it happend, so I cannot have faith that in something that has been used to twist the truth and mislead the people. That's just me, and as you said everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, so why bother with this over used stigma? I believe in the Creator (a shapless and formless (genderless) being that made this universe, and I also worship Gaea (you know her as Mother Earth) I don't need some one to die for my sins it just gives me the excuse to comit more sins. One must attone for what they have done, and I have alot to atone for, so just because a majority of the world believes the way you do does not make it the one and only way; it just means that alot of the population has your faith, and that's about it. No one really knows what happens when you die, and for some that's a scary thought. Others just don't care, it is not about being with someone, or knowing the truth; it's about doing what you can to make this world a brighter place for all of humanity. The way I see it is if we all came from the 'dust of the Earth' then we are the Children of Gaea anyway so why bother with religious samantics, I have my faith and you have yours. What's so wrong with having a differnt religion, and not wanting to convert to, or return to the Christian fold?

If I have offended any one I appologize in advance.

Wonder, awe, personal and loving relationships with not just one Deity, but several; peace and a place in this fantastic universe; I'm always learning, discovering so much about Paganism and other religions; contact and dialogue with a great range of people both Pagan and non-Pagan; a sense of continuity with the people who worshipped the ancient Deities.

im not sure what you are meaning of what does my pagan religion offer me,but i will explain why i choose this path for.
the Goddess of earth,Gaia, she created earth and all of the living things around it.she brings life to trees in the spring and forming them to be beautiful in the fall.the pagan religion is a religion that has the loving of the earth and the Mother that created it.it offers me the ability to respect the earth that mother earth gave to me.and also the love of celebrating the harvest festival on tuesday being Halloween.i think that you should know of somewhat why people choose the paganism side if you would really study about the religion.and actually find out what it really is instead of listening to what other people say about it.

My Pagan religion offers me so much more than that that I scarcely know where to begin.

A personal relationship with the universe.

A personal relationship with Gaia.

Awareness of, and connectedness with, the seasons and the cycles of the moon.

Interconnected beingness with Gaia, the universe, the Horned God, the ancient Gods of my land, the spirits of the trees and the mushrooms.

That's before we get into magic, Qi and the subtle body.

And that's just a few aspects of it, it in no way conveys the entirety of the experience or even comes near to doing so.

The earth religions are where it's at man. Smoke it and see.

My religion gives me a personal, loving relationship with Eos, who gives us the promise of a new day, and with Hermes who brings us laughter and luck and guides us gently to the afterlife when our time comes. These relationships are unconditional. They give me gifts as I please them, or withhold them if I anger them, but they always love me and are, at the very least amused by me and if I turn away, they will be there when I turn back. They don't punish and they don't hate anyone, they don't even demand they be worshipped to earn their goodwill.

It also gives me a sense of connection with every living thing. I am a cog in an infinate magical clockwork. It's beautiful. Everything I see is part of me and I am part of everything. I cannot help but be filled with love for all things, and for myself. I can't imagine anything better. It's not all roses though. I can hear the voice of Gaia. I feel Her pain. When you're this connected, there is joy and there is pain. I can't drive past a clearcut without bursting into tears. Sometimes I envy you Christians your ego-centric abilities. Your God is separate, mine are a part of me. I am Gaia, Gaia is me. I am an expression of Her. I am Her joy, Her pain. I am Her caretaker, and Her ward. The responsibility is pretty hardcore.

Personally, I refuse to worship any being who 'died for my sins'. My sins are my own, and no one else, no deity or being deserves to sacrifice themselves for them. Having said that, like the Horned God who dies every year and is reborn, when I die, I will be reincarnated into my next life to learn more about the world in which we live.

I have a personal a loving relationship with my God and Goddess, and I love and revere all nature in all its glory, its good and bad sides.

Wicca offers me a spiritual path based on kindness and goodwill. It is a refreshing alternative to Christianity because people's religious decisions are respected. No "I worship the only true god." No hatred. Only compassion.

I also enjoy having a variety of deities that are more personal and approachable. Mine include

Asherah: ancient Canaanite goddess (mother of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam

El: Asherah's husband, sky father, early representation of YHWH/Yahweh?Jehovah (God)

Celene: Greek moon goddess

I am glad that you find comfort in your own religion. I am also glad that you recognize and respect the fact that Christianity is not for everyone.

Peace

Which Pagan religion are you referring to?
There are many different paths, and with each path comes different beliefs.
As for mine, it offers me many things.
- A closer relationship with nature and God/Goddess
- A path to finding myself, and loving myself as well as all other living things
- A way to understand and accept much more in life
And, these are only a few aspects of it, there's much more.
