"Scientists didn't like the fact that we are stuck walking so God let them invent things like cars and planes and helicopters.

They already exist. if you are rich, buy a hovercraft. you can get small, car-sized ones that run over both the ground and water. great little things. if you are not rich then keep going. you have the makings for a cute kids story to mangle their minds here.
