There is none. The rapture and the tribulation are two different events. The only prerequisite for the rapture is that the last gentile be saved. To start the tribulation the Antichrist confirms a treaty.
But the church will not be here during the tribulation and in fact the church is not mentioned any longer after Revelation chapter 4.
1Th 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

No one knows for sure, but I don't think it will be long because..."Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition," 2 Thessalonians 2:3.
So I think the antichrist will be on the scene and in the thick of things before the Rapture.
******Yo Yo Mama, there are many reasons to believe in the Pre-trib Rapture. One being the Church is no longer mentioned in the Bible after the 3rd chapter of Revelation. Another is that the Rapture is a parallel to the Ancient Jewish Wedding. Either way the Church, Christ's bride will be saved from God's wrath on an unbelieving world (the same way Noah and his family were saved from the flood.)
It doesn't matter if you believe the same thing about the Rapture that I do...as long as you believe that Jesus is coming back to get us, we can argue about the technicalities on the way up! May god Bless You and Keep You All!

The bible never says there will be a pre-tribulation "rapture". It will be after the trib, right before the final wrath. The pre-trib rapture thing is no more than wishful thinking. He's only coming back once, the pre-trib theory would have Him coming back twice. Sorry, but no easy way out of it.

The premillenial rapture is a heresy less than two hundred years old. It was unknown to the first 1800 years of Christianity, and the scriptures never speak of it (the story of the 'rapture' has to be cobbled together out of the various eschatological books such as Daniel and Revelation, along with Paul's letter to the Thessalonians - there is no single account in scripture that accords with these crazy unbiblical theories.)
The nature of Christianity - everything Jesus ever talks about - is how to transcend suffering. Not to avoid it. Jesus sasys, "He who wants to be my disciple must pick up his or her cross and follow me" - this Jesus who did not try and escape death, but who said, "Let not my will, but yours, Father, be done." He triumphed over his fate, he did not seek to escape it.
Ditch the false rapture religion, and embrace real Christianity - a religion that does not try and hide the suffering of the world, but rather how to live through it and triumph over it.
LOVE. That is what Christianity is really about. Not weird, creepy, and violent stories by Tim LaHaye.

The rapture occurs after the tribulation.
Matthew 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Notice that Paul writes about the "last" trumpet.
1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
As to the Lord's coming being like a "theif in the night" compare these passages.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. 2 For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, "There is peace and security," then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. 5 For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness.
2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
Here is what Jesus said would happen before the great tribulation.
Matthew 24:15 "So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, 18 and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. 19 And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! 20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.

A pre-trib "rapture" isn't going to happen.
Any Christian who would "bail out" and leave the world at a critical time like that isn't worthy of the name.
Please send me a post card if I turn out to be wrong.

Biblically there is no pre-trib rapture. This is dispensationalist nonsense and poor Bible scholarship.
