mentraul cramps are usually associated with lower back pain. They occur just a couple inches lower than where you think your belly is. Stomach pains are actually not in your stomach at all. Your stomach is to the left of your abdomin. If you are feeling crampy in your belly than its either your intestines (ie you ate too much, or need to use the bathroom) or it could be cramps. If it is a mentrual cramp then it will go away in about a week, try taking some aleve or motrin IB. Pamprin also works. :)

Cramps are generally lower...it is the definition of cramps that woould have you decide this one. Stomach pains generally result from too much acids in the stomach and in that case i always have to lie down until it passes...with cramps, i just bite the bullet and continue as usual.

Stomach aches hurt in the stomach whereas cramps hurt some below it. And it feels like you are being stabbed.

when i get cramps, i also get headaches and irritable. check to see if you have other symptoms.
