I have to listen to something, it used to be a ticking clock would help me, but then I met this guy who snores and that seems to solve it! Honestly, it just takes your mind off everything and you breathe in and out and, it's soothing and that. Works for me!

I keep myself awake untill my eyelids droop- I cannot stand lyeing in bed awake- I only associate my bed with sleep, not lyeing awake- or doing whatever...

Having said that I am now up till 5am, getting up in the morning is a hazard and my work is now all p.m and eve shifts!! ha ha
-but seriously, stay awake for as long as possible, get up at the same time every morning and your body will soon end you to sleep earlier at night.

You didnt say what age you are- I was once told that many people between the ages of 13 and 25 suffer insomnia because the mind is growing at a different rate from the body and therefore leaves you restless and unable to rest at appropiate times. Though having said this, the above mentioned trick seems to work for a while anyway.

I use a yoga technique for relaxation. When I am overtired and can't fall asleep, I lay on my back, breath deep, and on the exhale I let my body sink into the bed. I imagine my body becoming limp and heavy. I repeat this over and over until I am asleep. I do not always listen to music because I get into the songs and then I am up! So, I will turn off all of the lights, and have no noises, and breath slowly and deeply.

The quickest way to get to sleep is to try to watch an old and boring movie, like a Godzilla movie from the fifties. Everything will shut down while you try to get through one of those. And you will wind up crawling up the stairs to your trundle bed on all fours, with your eyelids drooping and your brain like mush... but the good news is: you will have a smile on your face.

I also like to sleep during the day, i don't like to sleep at night, to wired i guess. if your asking how to fall asleep faster, take some sleep aide.

My boyfriend has a really strange way of getting to sleep. Whilst listening to music, he bangs his head on the pillow until he gradually gets sleepy! I'm not joking

P.S. He now sleeps in the other room

Turn the radio on. Tune it to a inbetween station where there is no music or talking...... When you hear the CCCHHHHHH that's when you lay down to listen. It's referred to as "white noise" It'll help you sleep.

These are actual things that work:

One, wriggle your toes for thirty seconds. Afterword, just as you are thinking about how stupid you feel, you fall asleep. Scientists say that it is suppose to increase circulation or whatever.

Two, stretch and hold for about ten seconds. Then slowly start relaxing each muscle, starting at your feet. BOOM, you will be out.

Three, masturbate or have sex. This relaxes you. Completely. Doctors actually recommend it.

the only way i can go to sleep is if someone rubs my head (it can be traced back to when i was a baby my mom or dad would rub my head to put me to sleep ) and on the nights that i don't get my head rubbed i have trouble sleeping its really hard to rub your own head as soon as you fall asleep your hand stops moving lol and then you wake up .(I'm spoiled what more do i have to say )
