Catnip causes intense excitement in cats. This may be too much for an aging cat to handle. Overweight cats, cats with heart problems and diabetic cats should also not be given catnip. So it would be best to keep a 13 year old cat (who is roughly the equivalent of 70-75 years old and considered a senior citizen) away from catnip.

I have never actually let my cats eat catnip but I have this corregated cardboard scratching pad that you put catnip inside so they will be attracted to it more...

of course. you could also try some wheat grass, this helps with digestion, and cats love it (believe me, they'll eat it like its their last meal on earth) its really up to your cat if she likes cat nip or not..

o yes! it's actualy good to feed him/her cat nip. he'll enjoy himself, and it's good 4 him.
