First of all if we worshipped a celestial teapot, we would, so to speak, be in "hot water".
Second, no I would not necessarily believe that also. Much of our faith patterns are passed down. However, religion has to be validated to remain and teapots have a difficult time with self-validation.
The reasons why there are so many religions is because so many people are searching. Many of them believe they have their own route.

No, that would not work for long because you can see it. With an invisible God it's different because it leaves doth as to it's existence, so this leads to the mentality of it's better to believe JUST IN CASE. See the difference
