I had this idea that we could walk out of the way, and give Iraq to Iran, and they could kill each other. All of our troops could be safe, and we could watch from afar, from time to time, sending a CIA operative to mess things up again. It would totally distract Iran from their nuclear arms (or they would totally bomb Iraq) and our problem would be solved...tell me I'm brilliant, go ahead.

Questioner, you're terrible. If something as catastrophic as what you suggested happened, I would leave the United States Army once my term was up and go fight for the Kurdish Peshmerga.
Not only does it defy reason to "give" a sovereign nation to another, it is completely asinine to expect that the Iraqis would roll over and die for such a solution. Remember - our troops have to walk, ride, or fly out of Iraq once this retarded solution is implemented. I guarantee you that the sending off would not be with flowers. I guarantee you that the breakdown in order throughout the region will ricochet far, far beyond just Iran and Iraq.
What you suggest is akin to suggesting that we give Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California to Mexico so that we can cut our illegal immigration problem in half. What you suggest is not a solution but a gross mockery of sovereign and human rights.

We would still have a BIG problem. They STILL HATE AMERICA . another thing we are trying to save lives and make peace not make more violence. FYI Iraq and Iran are actually beautiful countries but considering news only shows us the bad stuff you don't get to see all the good things we are doing like making schools better for the children, giving women more rights, etc.
