1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
Basicly to answer this question we need to ask another question.
In what two ways do men view the preaching of the cross?
- Foolishness to those who are perishing. Those who do not accept the preaching of the cross (the Gospel) think that its utter foolishness, that it beneath them. And regetabley those who think that the Gospel is foolishness are lost unless they acept the 'fooleshness'.
- The power of God to those being saved. For those who accept the Foolishness of the Gospel will be saved, for they are truly wise and those that are lost are truly foolish.

What the saying is trying to tell you is that if you think God is foolishness then you will not be saved when you are dying. So if you believe then no worries...

No. I think a lot of what is being said by religion about God is foolishness, but that does not change the real God in the least.
Thank Goodness.
Love and blessings Don

God is not at all foolishness. This passage means that for non believers God is not real and the people that believe are foolish. For believers such as myself, God is powerful and he is love!!!

God is just a scapegoat for what we cannot explain. "He" is only widely accepted because it has been a long held belief that he does exist, which I feel is foolish.
