Its not a dumb question but yes avocados are fruit. They have a seed and grow in a tree. Fruits always have seeds and grow above ground in a tree or on a vine.

i dont know either. but does avocado came from a flower?

because i learned from school that any plant that has flowers that becomes fruit is a fruit-bearing plant. so, others which do not have fruits are called vegetables. so, even tomatoes are fruits. :)

yep! a fruit is the ripened reproductive body of a seed plant.
um...
so pretty much a plant with a seed inside of it is a fruit.
like.. tomatoes are fruits...and avocados... :)

in the field of biology a fruit starts as a flower..so try to investigate if an avocado starts as a flower..So, what can you say about tomatoe? tata!!
