Here's the thing: eating a diet with absolutely NO carbohydrates is not healthy. The key to having a healthy diet is balance, with few to no sugars and fats. But carbs is the category you should eat the most servings of in a given day. So my answer? Eat what you want, (excluding processed foods; i.e. candy, white bread, things with partially hydrogenated oils, etc.) Another key is EXERCISE!!! I cannot stress that enough with my clients! You should exercise AT THE VERY LEAST 3-5 times a week for AT LEAST 30 minutes a day! Follow this, you will lead a very healthy lifestyle.
P.S. DON'T SMOKE OR DRINK! This can lead to excess poundage.

The only foods with no carbs are protein and pure fat. Chicken, beef, fish, pork, eggs.
Cheese, mayonnaise, shellfish, sausage and cream have trace carbs. Except for shellfish they're all high in calories.
When you first start low carb you'll lose 5-7 lb in a few days (mostly water weight from no carbs) and then settle into to steady loss. The problem happens when people "have" to try a couple cookies, a bite of mashed potatoes or a beer -- they regain the water weight overnight.
Low calorie low carb is the backbone of the Kimkins plan.

First off, some of the answers you have received here are not exactly right.
Fruits are carbs . . . cabbage has carbs, and so do many veggies.
Low carb dieting *is* healthy, if you do it right. Google "Atkins", and read some of the multitude of sites that are on the 'net.
I like meats, cheeses, celery, zucchinis, cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce, radish, etc . . . all are very low carb.
While you are burning fat, your bod makes carbs out from stored fat.
But you *HAVE* to do good vitamins, and drink a ton of water, eat lots of fiber, etc.
Good luck! (I also drink pre-digested whey protein shakes, made with water and ice and protein powder from VitaLady.com.)

I really don't think there are any foods that have no carbs (besides water) in them at all. By the way, even if you are cutting carbs, your body still needs "some" carbs to live.

don’t cut out all the carbs .. I tried it and I was horribly miserable the whole two weeks that I tried it, IT SUCKED !! if you want to stay away from bad carbs, don’t eat anything that’s white.. white bread for example has a super amount of sugar in it ... if threes something you want to eliminate from your diet for weight loss purposes try cutting some empty calories, pop << great example of those. your body needs some carbs, or u will feel rundown and like crap all the time.
hope it helps

You can't cut out carbs completely. You will lose weight but you will gain it right back. Try to eat foods that have 2 grams of fiber per every 90 calories. It will keep you full and eat less...

If you are looking to do the atkins diet, which means that you dont eat carbs, then what you need to eat is eggs, cheese, meats, salads. But I do think that everything has at least a little of carbs.

Fats
Guess you are stuck with meat - sounds like the Atkin's diet.
So - meat and salad
salt and pepper
no potato
no bread
no sauces or the ones that have no carbs
