Only certified plastic surgeons have the experience to perform facial botox. It takes a specialist and moreover a surgeon who has the best knowledge concerning the facial musculature and innervation. The fact that the method consists of "injections" doesnt make it less invasive especially when taking under consideration that the effects of such a procedure last.
The plastic surgeon and moreover those plastic surgeons who have a broad experience in procedures concerning the aesthetic aspect of facial surgery are the best qualified.
The method consists of 3 main parameters. The first is the proper configuration of the desireable effect and form which actually leads to the precise design, number and location of the injections. (there is no specific number of injections e.g 20 or minimum dosage...all these have to be concerned depending on the desired effect, the patients medical history and of course the maximum dosage that is allowed for the specific patient ).
The second parameter deals with the configuration of the increments plus minor adjustments of the locations of injections with the ultimate aim to preserve the symmetry and the functional potential of the mimic muscles.Pradoxes of expressions inability concern inexperienced or not qualified specialists (eg dermatologists, ENT, ongyn, general surgeons etc)
The third parameter deals with the psychological profile of the patient, that actively consolidates the drive, managment and prospective future application of the procedure for the specific individual.
General considerations about a possible hypersensitivity in the botulinum toxin synthetic dereivative or the other drastic pharmaceutical additives also exist.
In conclusion, the answer is yes but only after obtaining a great deal of inforamtion about the procedure, after well defining the need of such a procedure in your case and of course after visiting the appropriate plastic surgeon.

Leave it to Anne "Botox Queen" Robinson, of Weakest Link. Unless anyone's criticized you enough to hurt your feelings, don't go with it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Do u know what it is? It relax's your muscle to where nothin moves in that part of the area they inject. I'll tell you this...I remember when silcone in breast was the greatest thing ever. Then after many years they find out different.I believe in time they are going to find out that botox has awful results after many years..So my answer is no.

I wouldn't, but if other people want to voluntarily have stuff injected right into their faces so they can lie to people about their age then why shouldn't they.

It may confuse mere mortals, but the Grim Reaper takes more deceiving than that.

If you decide to go with it, go to a plastic surgeon, not some other doc that's been to a weekend course. (if your gynecologist is offering it, pass)

I've had two treatments and NOBODY knows.

Those who know how to do it right can weaken instead of paralyze the muscles, so your face still moves, it just doesn't wrinkle.

Given that botulinum toxin is the most POTENT paralyzing agent known to man, I've often wondered what happens if a cosmetic surgeon accidentally slips!

For me - no thanks.

For you - well, you'll have to sort that out for yourself.
