You need to discuss this with a doctor. More info is needed to make the right diagnosis so that the correct treatment can be given. But it does sound like some type of anxiety disorder. Good news is that these are very treatable and getting the right treatment will make for a wonderful change in your life. Make your appointment asap.

To tell you the truth the more you put it out of your head the more youll think about it. Sounds crazy but let me explain.
Panic Attacks.....I don't know what your basing it on but Panic Attacks are used to describe a variety of things.
If you get these in bad situations, say you fear a death in the family or something then just let it out, calm down and ultimately if you feel you'd benefit from professional help go get it.
If your describing anxiety attacks, which is like a build up of emotion and sadness to some extent let out in attacks (you feel numb to a certain degree, feel like everything has stopped for a second, begin to cry but the tears dont come) you need to cut some sadness out of your life. Whatever is making you sad just try to work around it, and if you feel itd be better to deal with it then find a way to deal with it. I used to have these a lot but one night I just let it all out, took a warm shower and had a good nights sleep and I felt so much better, haven't had one since. I try to think positive as much as I can. Some things are unavoidable, but if you have a positive outlook things get that much better.
So to sum it up, you wont get a panic attack from thinking about having one. You may get one in a foul situation or thinking about a sadness trigger, but I doubt thinking the words "Panic Attack" will make one drop down like a vulture.
If you feel you need professional help, get it. The feeling of relief and having your life back is great and completely outweighs the awkwardness of the first visit, etc.
Good luck.

My idea is that there is nothing wrong with you now... because when you start preassuring on yourself and keep thinking on those panic attack then it will happen. I have suffer pannic attacks for 2 years now and I know how they work. They are awful, so don't call them to your life. Calm down and delete the "panic attack" thoughts.

I must say I have had very bad panic attacks, if you are thinking about them u must have had one or more and are worried about it happening, I know how u feel there is no warning, u feel u cant breathe swallow sweat etc. and for some reason more females are affected then males. Also it can be heredity, it is in my family. Please see your Dr. asap, there is help believe me, it will be the best thing you can do for yourself and your loved ones. I wish you all the best.

Work to keep the thoughts out of your head. Do this by focusing on the task(s) you need to be doing. Relax and breath from your abdomen during situations that you worry. Listen to your breathing and count each breath. The idea is to keep your anxiety down. It sounds like you already have good control. I wish you luck.

I used to have panic attacks and they would come on regardless of my thoughts. I could be eating a meal with family and get one. I could be driving to the store and get one. They don't just turn off and on according to your thoughts. If you DO get them frequently, medication can help. My attacks lasted about a year and then suddenly stopped. HALLELUJAH!! Don't worry about your thoughts - just live life and if one comes along, deal with it and move forward again. But PLEASE check on the meds - they made a world of difference!

the best way is just to not think about it at all. dont even let the thought cross your mind. i developed an anxiety disorder due to worrying all the time and i wouldnt want anyone to ever experience it.

Think about something else, a real problem that takes some thought to conclude.
