Yes, I believe love at first sight can be everlasting. Why not?
But will it be so? You won't know unless it happens to you and you try.
Just remember that love, while emotional, eventually becomes something you must work at very hard to maintain. Love will exact its pound of flesh from you, cut your heart without warning and re-shape your very soul. Love can be the greatest thing EVER. Love's loss can be the absolute worst reality you thought you could dream and yet never imagined.
Go for it, but take the bad with the good in equal measure so that the next time will be even better.

I don't think there's love at first sight, but I think from sight you can have a really strong feeling, and that can build into love and last forever. But just seeing someone doesn't make it last forever.

All depends on how you define love. The culture and media tell us that love is defined as a feeling or emotion based upon physical attraction. I submit that's why the approximate divorce rate is as high as it is.
Love is best defined as the volitional commitment to sacrifice one's own interests to promote and pursue the greatest good of another. Consider the love of a parent for child, of brother for brother. Love isn't an emotion, a feeling or an attraction. Love is a sustained commitment to sacrifice for the sake of another.
Can the attraction of 'love at first sight' be sustained and matured to embrace the definition of love I'm suggesting? Absolutely. Can obsessive, distracting, infatuation / physical attraction be sustained for years and years? Absolutely not.
Best to you.

Well for me no. I met this guy who said he loved me the first time he laid his eyes on me and after a month he wanted to move on. But I am sure there are some that work out.

YES!! My husband & I met @ a wedding reception almost 12-years-ago...I'd been trying to catch his eye & apparently he'd been trying to catch mine. We have been happily together ever since & married for a wonderful 10 & a half years!!
God needed us to be together, and we know it. We have been on a much different journey together than where our lives were heading seperately. God gives us signs that it was meant to be, you just have to find them sometimes.
God was telling me I would end up with my husband beginning with another relationship I was in before we met. There are no coincidinces!!

Yes. I've been with my (now) husband for 8 years and sometimes when we're at a store or something and decide to meet somewhere after we go do our own thing, I still have to catch my breath when I see him walking towards me.
