the straightening iron is best.. but if you dont wanna use one then after you shower, towel dry and brush it,.,. then keep it pressed tight firmly either under a beanie or anything else that will keep it pressed flat while becoming completely dry.

First i need a little bit more info: if you don't want to use a straightener, do you NOT want to use a blowdryer? Are you afraid of putting heat into it? A ceramic straightener is the best way to get your hair straight.

Or if you just don't want to buy a straightener, you can either use a blow dryer, or a curling iron.

If you only use straightening gel or serum- IT WILL NOT WORK. you have to put a little heat into it.

If you REALLY dont' want to add any heat, you can consider brushing it straight once you get out of the shower. Again, that won't accomplish much, but that is another option for you.

hope this helps....

been there.. I got tired of my wavy hair. But there is this treatment you can get at Salons that can straighten your hair for months (mine lasted for 2 years). I had mine done in the Philippines. It's called "hair rebond". But i know in the US, it's called japanese Yukon treatment. They basically neutralize your hair with 3 creams, iron it, advise you not to wash it for 3 days, and yes, you have beautiful shiny straight, natural looking hair. (not like those bacon-y rough straight hair that you have when you have your hair straightened at a salon). It is pricey..but it makes things a lot easier. you can curl it anytime you want...and it goes back to being straight.

Iron it. put hair on ironing board or table with a towel underneath and on top.(be sure the hair is damp). Iron it in sections. Of course, it takes help to do this without scorching your scalp.
Good luck.

i think you should get a straighting perm. Thoses things really work. It kept my hair straight for over a month. But be careful because they can take out your hair if you have recent highlights or if you keep it in too long.

Hope i helped!

Try SEDU flat iron, it's a little over $100 (u.s) but it's sooo worth it! It doesn't get frizzy or curly when it's humid out (or raining) it's cheaper then getting your hair straightened PLUS it doesn't sizzle and mess up your texture.
