Never resort to revenge. With revenge just adds more anger to the system, and then soon it'll just be fighting anger with anger, fire with fire. Before you do anything drastic, try to understand this individual who stole from you. Even though it is wrong, think of this scenario:
If a man had 3 kids and a wife at home, and because of the rut society puts people in when they are poor, for a few months he might be scrapping everything together just to survive. Then, finally, after so many days of hard work with little pay, he still doesn't have enough to support his family. So he has to steal something to get money.
Yes, stealing is wrong, however getting back won't change anything. This is simply a result from all the hatred in the world. If all people just helped out eachother, even a little bit, there would be a lot less crime, violence, and hatred.
Try getting out in the community, volunteer at a drug theorpy place or with homeless people. Maybe there you can help these people out and prevent any further crimes toward other people by simply showing kindness and support. Plus, you'll gain an understanding at just how hard their lives can be.

Make certain you can prove the XBox he has is the same one you had stolen. That may be hard to prove.
If this person is a minor and still lives at home, I would confront his parents in an adult manner (if you are also a minor who lives with your parents, ask them to go with you to the confrontation.) If his parents are any kind of decent people, they will know whether or not their son owns that XBox.
If you have mutual friends, tell ALL OF THEM that he stole your XBox.
My advice is not to do anything illegal to get back at him, anything like that could very easily blow up in your face.
Good luck to you.

You don't want to go there. Trying to set someone up will back fire on you. We seldom get back things that are stolen from us unless, it is recovered by the police. Since you have reported it, now you can call your insurance company. If you have homeowner's or renter's insurance they'll replace it for you. If you don't have insurance then, please get some before you buy anything else. You've done your part so, now leave it in the hands of God.

Depends how much it's worth to you. If it's just the xbox, it's not worth spending money to sort it out. You've either got the balls to kick his door in and take it back or you haven't (if not, try drinking and thinking about it again).

Maybe you could trash his car. It would make you feel a little better, at least, as long as he couldn't prove it was you.
