I know this isn't very personal, but my brother is getting married and I am struggling with what to write. The card itself says pretty much everything. This is what the card says...

What a beautiful beggining this is for both of you
A time of heartfelt promises and special dreams come true
What a beautiful time to celebrate
the life you now will share
May the years ahead be filled wiht love and joy beyond compare

See! It says everything! I want to say something meaninful, but I don't know what else to add. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Write the only thing the card doesn't say

1 I love you brother
2 I love your wife to be because she makes you happy

I love both of you and am glad that you are my family

Come on, you know them. How about something like:

Joe, you have always been a wonderful brother and I know you will make Jane a great husband. She is lucky to have you, as you are fortunate to have found such a special woman in your life.
I wish the two of you much love and happiness all the days of your lives.
Love, Sis

(I charge a buck a word!) (just joshin')

If you are a church person, how about: May God bless you through out your days with all of my prayers and love.... or With my deepest joy for both of you.... or the old stand by: Best wishes to both of you......
Maybe even think about what you would like to see in a card if it was for you.

I would add, "I am so very happy for you and (her name). I am looking so forward to sharing in your special day. May you grow in life and love together always - and know that I am always here for you. I love you."

what you write to your brother needs to come from your heart not from a stranger. you dont say if he is older or younger then you but you might want to reflect on a memory you have from growing up

Sign it and give him a 1000 dollar check. Now that's meaningful. That's what I did for my brother.

two ideas for you (coming from a non-creative card writer as well):

1. buy another card that's blank and copy what the first card says in your own handwriting

2. write "couldn't have said it better myself. . . congratulations Mike and Laura (probably not their names!)"
