A friend of mine has been recieving cancer treatment for some time and has beed advised to have colonic.
She swears by it and says it is wonderful.
It costs her £35.00 a time. It is a little uncomfortable and a little embarassing to start, but it makes her feel cleansed and un bloated.
Before engaging in such treatment please speak to your doctor and if you go ahead use a reputable company.
I wish you well.

An colonic goes much deeper into the gut and is done by a proffesional and is not partiularly painfull, slightly uncomfortable for a few mins. An enema does not go as deep and can be done at home with a home kit available from health web sites.
You get a sort of open topped hot water bottle that you fill with around 3 ints of warm water. There is a hose with a tap attached, you place the end of the hose in your but and use the tap to control water flow. Enema's are for serious helth people who are into clensing, you can do coffee enemas and chamomile enemas stc.
For your 1st time go to a colonic hydrotherapist. Don't be scared, they've done it 1000 times. And you will feel good after, less bloated and just 'cleaner' if you see what i mean.

Wait, are you searching for an enema bag or a greater in touch colonic irrigation set-up? once you utilize the term "colonic irrigation", it often potential some thing it is able to fill you with water, help you expel it on a similar time as you're interior the comparable place and then fill you back in a cycle. of path an consumer-friendly 2-quart enema remains irrigating your colon, so if that's what you're searching for, you will hit upon a bag at a drugstore. seem interior the female hygiene aisle for a mix douche/enema/warm water bottle for around $15-20. while you're searching for a better set-up yet and not using a pump (like a expert gadget you will discover in a health center) as you stated, do a seek for a "colema board". It encompasses a tank which you place up intense that makes use of gravity to feed the water into you in basic terms like a bag does. You lay on a board with the pinnacle section on a chair and your butt up against a factor that is going over your rest room. you place a small tube on your rectum and your colon is crammed and once you would be able to desire to crap you in basic terms push out such as you're on the rest room. The tube is sufficiently small that water and feces will go around it, permitting you to proceed to be on your back. wish that facilitates.

Who recommended this and why did they recommend it? If it was just someone you met at a cafe or something, I would hesitate to do it. Enemas are to treat severe constipation and should be used sparingly. Overuse can create dependence (instead of being able to just go, you have to have an enema to evacuate your colon). If you get carried away and put too much of the wrong fluid up your colon, you can put yourself into fluid overload or deficit, and send yourself into shock. Talk to a health care professional before you start preforming enemas and getting colonics.

They don't hurt exactly, but they are both quite uncomfortable. A colonic would probably sort things out for longer, but it would involve having someone else doing things to your backside for quite a while, whereas you could do the enema yourself, in the comfort of your own home.

Recommended by whom? You should NOT give an enema yourself if nobody has taught you how to do it - you could end up doing more harm than good. Please see a doctor.
