I love my ramen noodles to this day, but frequently I just need the noodles for soup, and not the seasoning packet. I have a whole basketfull in my pantry.

What do you do with excess seasoning packets?

I'm like you. Sometimes l lke to eat the noodles with just a littel soy sauce on them. I use the left over packets of flavoring for sifferent soups and sauces to add a little extra flavor to them. It beats buying chicken, beef, shrimp or mushroom bullion to serve the same purpose. Not that I've ever found shrimp or mushroom bullion. For those I need to go to one of the restaurant purveyors and buy the bases they sell.

Not sure of the calories in the packet, but watch the sodium! That packet is loaded with sodium. Not a healthy food. You could guess the calories if you think that the noodles are about 1 cup cooked get the cals. from pasta and subtract and that would be the cals. for the packet. Not too many calories in bullion though, mostly sodium (salt).

My ex used to use Ramen to make "hippie-chips" He would crush up the pack of noodles and then pour the powder over the dry noodles. Then he's just snack on them like that straight out of the pack uncooked. He was an odd fellow. o_O They weren't THAT bad though.

You can probably use them in as seasoning for other recipes like soups or stews. Maybe you can try selling them on ebay; you never know, someone might need them!

Use as bouillon to flavor soups; depending on the flavor packet, use to season meats/poultry, salads, sauces, rice or pasta......
