I have 3 little boys and would like one more....I like to have them close together but my hubby says he wants to wait a while or maybe not have any more at all (stress at job, etc.) I wish I could convince him. Have any of you had a similar situation and what did you do?

Medically speaking it's recommended to wait 2 years between children. Your body needs the break.

As for more children, while you may want more you have to think of the future... are you're financially comfortable enough to take care of 4 kids and send them off to school and later college?

I would say that as you already had 3 kids in 3 years, and you're husband wants to wait awhile before deciding I think you should be willing to bend on that issue. You said he's stressed out at work... maybe he needs a break, a new baby is a lot of work and attention and you've got 3 toddlers (from what I understand) that also need attention.

I think you should sit down and discuss this with your husband and try to see things from his point of view.

best of luck

I'm the other way around. My husband wants another one badly but I'm in doubt. I'm not really sure if I do or not. I have reasons that I do, but I also have plenty of reasons that I don't He is 5 years older than me and he wants to do this soon. But, i"m only 24 and we have 2 children and he has a son. I feel like I want to wait a few years, but if I do he'll be mid 30's. I don't know what I'll do! I wish I did!

I would wait a while. You have 3 beautiful boys. Don't push him. My husband didn't want any after 2 and after a while, I agreed. Just when I got use to the idea of no more I got pg while on birth control. Now we're both getting use to the fact that there is going to be another.

i guess most husband try to be practical and think that 3 is enough considering the cost of rasing a child from birth to college, but also the fact that you want another one is another thing to consider that you and your husband have to discuss about very seriously if its just financial reason i think its something that you and him can negotiate and come into an amicable and acceptable conclusion, but it really something that you and your husband can only decide and nobody else. good luck!

it's the opposite in my family, I don't want any more children... and my husband wants 1 more (we currently have 1) I'm sure I'll want more so I haven't done anything that could permanently and we are figuring to MAYBE have another one in 2008. Good luck!

My husband and I have one child. For awhile I wanted to have another one but my husband didn't. Now he wants to have another one and I don't. Hopefully we'll both be on the same page one of these days!

For the child's sake. The no's should always win. Wait until he is ready

Please dont make another baby. Dont you have any regard for the other species on this planet? Why not adopt? This planet needs more humans like a drowning man needs a glass of water.
