Oh my gosh! These things are great as long as you get them fresh. After a day they turn into concrete.
In fact they are better than great. Imagine if the force of all good in the universe was made manifest in a simple edible treat. Then imagine that treat being as warm and welcome as a lovers kiss in winter. Pretty awesome huh? Multiply that awesomeness by 10. That is about how good a Krispy Kreme doughnut is. No joke.

You're missing out! Go when the "hot donuts" is lit up, becuse then they're fresh from the fryer. They're all good, but get original glazed first. Be careful though, I was once in an impromptu Krispy Kreme eating contest and felt terrible after 6 in a row.

Yea, they are really that good. I'd recommend the original glazed first, followed by the raspberry filled. I've been ruined for any other brand of donuts, and unfortunately, when Krispy Kreme went into a restructuring/downsizing a couple years back - they only left one in our city, and it's a 20 minute drive :-(

I ate at Krispy Kreme once when I first moved to Virginia because my new neighbor said their donuts were the best in the world. Notice I said once. After that I felt the need to carry an emesis basin with me when I drove past the place. The smell of all that grease and all the sugar that makes your teeth actually ache was enough to make me sick. I live in NM now and they carry it in one of the grocery stores and at least one convenience store chain. We weren't offered a free one, but my husband was the first time he went. If they have to give the donuts away, that should tell you something about the quality.

The fresh ones from Harrods are the best seeing as they are baked there. Original one is good, then try the others the ones with Jam inside. I suggest you exercise loads after eating one of them cos they are fattening, really nice but fattening. In my opinon, they really are that good it is so much better than any other doughnut due to the way it is made, if you went Harrods you used to get free ones but now they don't do it anymore.

They're quite sweet but after trying them, now and again you'll get a craving for them.
The original glazed is where most folks will tell you to start - and I agree. They have other flavors but I've not yet found one that I prefer over the original.
Enjoy!!

If you have not tried one, you are not missing much. I personally hate them. These donuts back up on me worse than the Hostess kind and there really is no really good taste to them that would set them apart from any other brand of donut.
