Its really hard to say. It all depends on what branch you are going into and how many other people are there for the same branch. I was the only person going through for the USAF when I went through. I got there at 5am and did not get out of there until 330pm. Some recruiters will put you up in a hotel overnight just so they can make sure that you show up on time. Others will tell you that you need to show up by a certain time. Either way its a whole lot of waiting. The only things that you can take are the forms and documents that are pertinent to your enlistment. Other than that, if you are lucky they might have some things to do to help pass the time while you are waiting.

depends on how far away from the MEPS location you live. if you live more than an hour drive its an overnight trip. you start the processing really early, maybe 0500. most of the time you stay in a hotel at govt expense the night before. if youre just doing the initial processing and not leaving that day you should be done by 1400. drink a lot of water so you can pee in the cup when you need to.

If you live in a big city like L.A., Phoenix, Dallas, it won't be overnight, it will just be one day. But if you have to drive for 3 hours or more to get to MEPS, it will be overnight and the gov't will pay for your hotel and some meals. Usually your recruiter takes you in a gov't car. You should take at least one change of clothes, and toiletries...whatever you need for an overnight stay.

It takes many of the day to get via it. You can be getting greater than only a bodily even though. There may also be imaginative and prescient checking out, checking out for listening to, you're going to must speak to humans approximately your AIT alternative, if you're going into the Marines or Army you're going to most of the time must do a little force checks via lifting a special quantity of weight, (a minimum of I needed to do force checking out whilst I joined up again within the eighty's, so I'm now not too certain if they're going to nonetheless require that), you're going to even be fingerprinted, have blood typing performed, and a number of alternative matters. The final factor you're going to do earlier than delivery out is provide your oath of loyalty to safeguard and guard the US from all enemies foriegn and home. So ya, it is definately an all day go back and forth to the MEPS core.

The Medical Expenditure Panel Survey, which began in 1996, is a set of large-scale surveys of families and individuals, their medical providers (doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, etc.), and employers across the United States. MEPS collects data on the specific health services that Americans use, how frequently they use them, the cost of these services, and how they are paid for, as well as data on the cost, scope, and breadth of health insurance held by and available to U.S. workers.
