We probably don't hear about the ones that try to take of from the ground because nothing happens to them.
It may be that some common sense still remains that tells LSD users that they can't fly from the ground. Or because a flying sensation is only triggered by being up high and feeing the wind and seeing everything small and far off.

When I was younger and more foolish I obtained a 'pyramid' of LSD. Only a tiny pinhead but a very strong hallucinogenic drug for 50p.At the time there was a bad batch of LSD made which caused people to believe they could step off a window ledge and fly. Several people died. I cut mine in half with a razor not wishing to lose complete control and maybe leaping to my death. The first half an hour was quite pleasureable with amazing colours and very strong hallucinations one of which was watching my face turn inside out -in a mirror. I could see anything my mind wanted to create which is not recommended for a quiet,shy, depressive type of person.The things I saw were extremely unpleasant after that first half hour.I became fearful and paranoid and couldn't remain in the house. Even Valium had no calming effect. The next 91/2 hours I tramped the streets until it wore off. A few weeks later I took the other half-hoping the effect might be different. It wasn't. I chucked the other one away. A friend of mine took a whole tab and believed he had died. He remained immobile for 12 hours like a zombie. I wasn't there but his mother phoned to ask me what he'd taken. I had to tell her I had given that crap to her son. I didn't feel very proud of myself. He was ok afterwards but he never took it again either. I am a recovered alcoholic and that is just one of the many unpleasant things that happened to me.

small birds (feathered variety) almost invariably learn to fly by diving from the nest so that is why LSD opens up primeval instincts and makes them seek high places from which to plummet..

Surely the joke is "why do people take LSD and jump from a building " and the answer "because they are too thick to build a bomb" or "they are Muslims and it is better than being stoned to death for adultery" Ten points please, not best answer but it will upset loads of people.

,Now, that may have happened once or twice and gotten blown out of proportion but it's definitely not the norm. I've done acid, and I didn't harm myself. I can't tell you a lot about what did happen but my friends tell me I had a good time. I do remember petting some nonexistant bugs on a brick wall and some beautiful swirling colors around the trees one foggy morning but not a lot. I don't recomend it but it won't drive you crazy. I'd rather do mushrooms.

The only thing I found on LSD was that my mate turned into an owl and me ex's hair floated off, everytime after that I've tried nothing happenend so I gave it up as a lost cause

LSD just enhances ones abilities. That's why the good musicians and writers were the ones doing the drugs. Since they are stupid for taking LSD, it just enhances their stupidity and that's why they do it.

people dont jump out of widnows because they think they can fly... i think back in the 70's this happend once and teh guy who did it was suicidal.

Im sure people have thought the same on Alcohol or weed.
