Catfish are scavengers. They are bottom feeders that eat anything and everything. Muslims wont eat pigs for this exact same reason. Catfish are known to have the highest levels of toxins in their tissues than any other fish.

Can't someone find a verse from the Koran that can support some kind of "scientific miracle" revelation so that catfish can be considered haram? Some people seem to be very good at taking verses from the Koran and twisting them to fit modern science, and when they do, Muslims automatically accept it.
How long do you think it will be before catfish are properly labeled as haram and considered forbidden?

I will quote the Holy Bible. In there it tells us not to eat fish that has skin. We are only to eat fish with scales. WHY ?? Because fish with skin are un-clean. The are exactly what you said. They are scavangers and will even eat dead people. Also Pigs, We are not suppose to eat pork. Why ? Because they are un-clean and they have hoofs that are not like cows. . They will also eat anything . On our farm, the pigs would even eat coal. On a farm not to far from us, a farmer went into a pig pen with lots of boar pigs. He was alone on the farm. No one could hear his cries. When his family came home all they could find of him in the pig pen was his hat and some of his clothes. It was awful, Catfish in America will never be called haram. Only in Muslim countries, will that happen. In America they will be called Catfish.

Most muslim jurists even consider smoking cigaretts as haram, but there are no verses in the Koran that says smoking is haram. However, tere are verses in the Koran that basically say that anything that harm you or damaging to your body, is considered haram.
In the case of catfish and pigs, has there been an analysis to compare the toxins (term used loosely here) between catfish and pigs? Based my knowledge of scientific studies I see significant cholesterol impact of eating pork, however, there are no direct impact of eating catfish on cholesterol.
I wouldn't go to say that pigs were forbidden just because they are scavengers. There probably is another reason (either somewhere in the Koran or with time to come to be shown) why pig/pork are considered haram.

Majority of muslim clerics (mullas) in 0.33 international countries say sure, others say that they don't comprehend what the catfish is. One suggested that cat isn't halal so how a catfish might want to be halal.

Yeah, catfish eat all kinds of poop. Disgusting. I can't believe Muslims eat that filthy animal. It's so unclean.
