Dear Madame,
Where do I begin.
To begin with, you should spend the time that you're about to take getting cartilage pierced, actually going over a standard, elementary grammar book. I won't comment further on this matter, but really, seriously, look into that.
Now then, "piercing" is vile, and unattractive. You will look ugly. I don't know that I can make that more clear--your boyfriend may look "so good," however, realize that 32% of all piercings lead to infection, and if done improperly, can cause permanent damage. Do this for me: go to your refrigerator, and grab a magnet. Put that magnet against your eyebrow now. Notice, that the eyebrow may feel "cold", however it is not painful. Now, put said magnet against the eyebrow of your boyfriend. Ask him to compare the pain to when he first got the piercing.
Finally, let comment on the pain issue here: You are sticking something through several layers of skin here. There WILL be Nerves (those things that allow you to feel ) in that skin. This will cause pain. An infection, will cause more pain. Know this.

I have everything pierced and it was one of the least painful. Customers are always surprised how little it actually hurts. The clamps that hold skin will hurt more than the actual needle.
AS for jewelry it's best to start with a ring. It makes it much easier to clean. Barbells can cause problems if your eyebrow swells, it will become to tight and be painful.

It's not so bad. When I got my eyebrow done it was just like getting my ear pierced, just a bit more prolonged.
The guy said "First I'm gonna poke this needle through, then I'll string the hoop through, and it's a bit thicker than the needle".
My friends all laughed their asses off when I told the guy to let me know when he was going to start on with the hoop. He was already done by that point and was just holding a gauze pad to my eyebrow (I'm a bit of a bleeder). Don't worry if afterwards your pale as a ghost for a bit - facial piercings sometimes bleed a bit, and this is perfectly normal (there are lots and lots of tiny blood vessels right near the surface of your face).
If you're into that sort of thing, medicate yourself ahead of time. Weed works wonders (did for me!)
Hope this helps.

Like every piercing, it will hurt. But the pain will be very quick. I hear eyebrow piercings are hard to keep in though.

Depends on your tolerance for pain. Personally I don't think that either tattoos or piercings hurt, but have a very high tolerance for pain. Some of my friends who have them think very differently. Just be aware especially with piercings that close to the brain you have to be very cautious of infection, if it gets infected it can travel to the brain easily. If you must do it, have it done by a professional, and follow their care instructions precisely....if it becomes infected take it out immediately and go to a doctor ASAP.

It doesnt hurt that bad.Just pinch your eyebrow as hard as you can.It hurts but goes away pretty quickly.I would suggest a bar because it looks better and is less likely to get caught on something and ripped out.YEESH!

try pinching your eyebrow... it doesn't hurt too much does it? ever had it waxed... yeah it hurts at first but it goes away quickly. i would get a bar because a ring may catch on stuff especially if you have longer hair. just make sure that they use a long enough bar because it looks tacky when your eyebrow is scruntched.

Yes, it hurts and is so not worth it. They heal up too quickly. If you don't have your nose pierced, I suggest you do that. That's nothing. Then wear a tiny diamond studd in it. That loods wicked sweet. WORD!

it doesn't hurt. the pain in the *** part is when your hair or someone else's hair gets caught on it. after multiple pulls it could start ripping out. i had three in my brow...now i have three scars.
