All the time. I'm basically a solitary guy and I certainly do enjoy my solitude. Yes, there are times when I get lonely and think I should be with someone or have a partner. But this can get complicated.

I know a 65 year old guy at work who has the best of both worlds. He married a gal a few years younger than him and even though they live under the same roof, they pretty much let one another have their own space.

You know, being single is not the end of the world. In fact, the above friend often remarks to me that he'd rather be miserable and alone, than married and miserable. But I don't think living alone necessarily translates into being miserable.

Sorry you had a "downer" of a week, but you know what? Forget about that now and enjoy your weekend while I'm working.

I've been in this mood several times and for me I found that if I watch a movie or TV show that I like, I somehow start to feel better. Sometimes, we all just need to be alone and have time to ourselves, which is not a bad thing at all.
