I just wanted to see if others have any insight on this.

definetly sounds like thrush which is like a yeast innfection of the mouth. My daughter had this at a month old and again at three months. I've never heard of it happening in a 2 year old unless she is still drinking alot of milk. Thrush is caused by most the time milk that sits in the baby's mouth.
Could be a bad case of strep throat. I would probably get her to a doc soon. Try to call around and see if anyone has a sick walk-in clinic in the morning.
Good Luck and I hope the baby feels better soon.

My guess is thrush or hand foot and mouth. Thrush would need to be treated with Nystatin as it is basically a yeast infection in the mouth. Hand foot and mouth will go away on its own. Both can cause a lot of pain in the mouth and throat which is why she is only drinking and not eating. She really needs to be seen by the doctor before next week...even if you take her to your local ER. Good Luck!

It could be thrush - a whitish rash. Strep throat also causes white bumps in the back of the mouth and on the back part of the tounge. Strep is usually accompanied by fever and coughing, so my guess is thrush. I don't know how old your daughter is - thrush usually affects babies and toddlers who put things in their mouths. If she is that age and has been at a daycare, it is common to get thrush from another infected child via a toy that was in another child's mouth that she put in hers.

I know thrush can cause the white bumps, but you should check for fever and dehydration. A sign of dehydration is being really thirsty and having a pasty mouth. If you push on the bottom of her big toe or finger and it doesn't bounce back right away I would take her in right away. Dehydration can become VERY serious in a young child!

Blisters in the mouth? Are there any on her fingers, butt, or fee? Could be hand foot in mouth disease. Common among young children and easily passed. If she develops a high fever or more symptoms I would take her to a minor emergency's department.

The white bumps sound like they could be a yeast infection called thrush, as far as the eating it could be that it hurts which thrush can be quite uncomfortable.

This happend to my brother when he was younger. I can't remember what it was called- but it wasn't thrush. It however was very contagiouse. Try getting a doctors appointment for tomorrow. This way you can get her on medication if it is what he had and get rid of it. I'm sorry that I can't remember what it was called.
