this guy is kinda my friend and i realllllly like him and we have alot of eye contact in the hallways even when we dont talk, and he is a shy emo type, and he has another friend thats a girl that goes over to his house to learn to play guitar, he ended up asking her out but now doesnt look me in eyes ne more and LOOKS REALLY guilty for some reason. whats happening? and were getting weird
and cant talk about what happend

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

Sounds like he hooked up with the other girl and he feels guilty for it. He doesn't want to hurt your feelings.

He's afraid to hurt your feelings, and asking the other girl out... he knows definately hurt your feelings. He cares about you and how you feel...
Try talking to him, don't pry at him or pester him, just sit down with him and try (without jumping down his throat or getting upset) to find out what he feels, and what he thinks...

it sounds like he was into you but might have thought that you wern't into him, but now he has this new girl he feels bad cos he didn't let you know he liked you or feels guilty for still liking you while he is with someone else.
