We have to vote next month. There is no room for religion in our laws and we have to stand up to the religious right. They will not accept the separation of church and state. We can get our democracy back and stamp out theocracy but we have to vote to do it. Who is with me

Well I'm doing my part. I hope Rick Santorum is packing his bags, he'll be leaving the Senate. I don't mind politicians being Christians (or some other religion), I just don't want them to impose their beliefs on the people. Like gay marriage; if you're not gay, what's it to you?

Answer: I don't think there's any God IN Washington.

Where do you guys get the idea that there's some sort of theocracy taking over our country? What images do you hold in your head that make you hate Christianity so?

You HAVE your democracy. Morality is on the ropes in this country. The liberal left with its "Great Society" and moral relativity is winning the day. The cultural revolution of the 1960s has borne its fruit: illegitimacy rates above 50%, breakdown of the American family, fathers and other authority figures totally undermined, homosexuality an accepted cultural practice, drug-use, etc.

Where have you been?

The key is to get religion out of Washington. God is the only one who can save us from this lunacy.

Atheism is a religion, just like Democratizism, or Islamofascism, or Catholisism (sorry for spelling). Religion means rationalizing, or reasonings. You cannot rule a people effectively without taking into account all facets of society. If you think God is the one promoting this "war on terror", I urge you to read on.

Biblically, God says a kingdom is the best government. That's what it states Jesus will install as the future government of earth. In the Book of Acts, it appears the Apostles ran a form of communism:

Acts 2:45
And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

This flys in the face of the capitalist, democratic gov't "religion" being palmed off by the neo-conservatives.

The left wing "progressives" have their religion as well. They want everyone to believe there is no God, that we have "evolved" from apes, and that reason is in the agnostic realm of thought alone. This flys in the face of several things:

1. If we evolved from apes, why are there still apes? Mendel's law shatters all forms of evolution nonsense.

2. The absolute greatest scientists of all time all believed in God. In fact, the more they investigated the universe, the more it confirmed the "intelligent design" of the universe. I am unaware of any truly genius scientific mind who denied the existance of God.

3. Without God, several sentences in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence would need to be eliminated. The seperation is of CHURCH and state, not GOD and state.

If you wish to believe in a Godless universe, that is your right. I feel sorry for anyone who has never known God's love. You have to be truly bitter and hard hearted to not embrace it.

To answer your question, it's not necessary to get god out of Washington; since god does not exist, it stands to reason that there is no god in Washington. But it is obviously necessary to set politics free of the terrible yoke of religion.

I'm Canadian and if I were able, I'd vote Democrat or abstain. If your country continues as it's currently going, then I fear for my country and the world; and while I doubt that a single midterm election will be enough to put the USA back on the right course, I hope it may cause enough people to wake up to the danger on their doorstep. Good luck.

Oh I'm voting all right.. I've done so in every election since 1987. There is no way things can be allowed to go on as they are.

Getting god out of D.C.? Well until 2008 I don't think that is possible since Bush thinks he's a god....

I would be very afraid to kick God out of this country. He is the one that made this nation great. He raised us up and He can tear us down. Don't be so comfortable in your life things can definitely change especially when God finally gives you what you want. Then what are you going to say " Why is He not blessing us any more? " Think about what you are saying

I do not know, though I will try. Get the conservatives out of office first, they are crushing our freedoms...

No where in the Constitution does it state that there must be a separation of religion and government. It states that the Federal government will not establish an official religion. Period.

To do that would take about 30 years. we need to get a whole generation either atheist or agnostic politicians and when the majority reaches 30, kick all the christian politicians out of washington.

You have no clue what the separation of Chruch and state means. It means that the government shall not impose a specific religion as per the men who wrote that law. Unfortuantely Liberls distort it.
