To record DVD's or data onto a DVD disc, you obviously need a DVD-R or a DVD-RW disc, DVD-R discs are single use, and DVD-RW are multi use but more expensive, both of these should work with any DVD recorder. You can obviously get better quality disc's made by different companies, but all will do the same job. Just try not getting a slow one, the speed will be shown with an x... like 6x, just try not to go as low as 2x encase your recorder doesnt like it.

check your paperwork first most dvd recorders use dvd+r and dvd+rw media check to see which yours uses then go to pc world or ukdvd online the best i've found is the datawrite either 4x four speed or the 8x eight speed i've used both with no problems
note if you intend to re-record you need DVD+RW discs they are not dear and have a uses life of approx 1000 recordings
