Nope. Religion doesn't mean anything as to whether or not they're good people. There's just as many bad Christians as good ones. Just like there's just as many good atheists as bad ones. Religion doesn't make a person good. People's choices in life make them good, not a belief.
After all, there have been murderers where family, friends, and people in the community were utterly shocked that so-and-so committed such a heinous act as they were active in church and whatnot. Other criminals, too, that had a similar reaction from others who just couldn't believe they'd done what they did because they were supposedly so God-fearing.
The above paragraph isn't meant to offend or attack anyone at all. It's just an observation I've had where I've watched the news, somebody committed some horrible murder or crime, and everyone who knew them was shocked they were involved because of their God-fearing, church-attending beliefs. Not every Christian is a murderer, and not every murderer is Christian. Just seeing that sort of reaction on the news shows me that just because a person is Christian or wears a crucifix or carries a Bible doesn't mean they're automatically a good person.
We're all people. We screw up, Christian and Atheist alike. Religion doesn't automatically make someone a good person. Religious people do bad things, too. It's just more of a surprise and shock when they do. Most people are decent, honest people, but religion has nothing to do with it. Conscious decision does.

No. I never assume a person is good because they carry a bible or wear a crucifix. Catholics have been wearing crucifixes for 100's of years. Some of Catholics don't even read their bibles.
You have to look deeper than the outside. A book might have a nice cover but it could be the worst read. A book could also have an ugly cover but be a great read. God knows the heart.
I don't think Christians are good people. I don't think good people really exist. We are all sinners. People would have to be perfect in order to be truly good. Only Jesus is truly good. That's why God accepted Jesus' sacrifice.
Christians are under the grace of God.
I never look at the outside. I look at the actions. A man that works contrary to the things of God and tries to harm God's children is not of God, he is anti-christ.
I hope that this answers your question.
God Bless.

No. No religion has 100% good people. I've known quite a few Christians that are horrible people. Think Mel Gibson. On the other hand, I know a lot of really nice Christians that I'm good friends with. Just because they're carrying a Bible or wearing a crucifix doesn't make them a good person.
He/She could also be carrying the Bible because they're reading it for their own curiosity. Again, this person could be good or bad depending on a lot of other factors.

NO, a crucifix can mean something different to everyone. There are a lot of really good people who don't wear crucifixes and many that do. Someone should not be judged as good or bad purely because what they are wearing or something.

no not really because look at what went on not too long ago with all the priests getting caught molesting kids. and they wear a crucifix and read the bible, alot of people look up to their priest and look at what some of them did. i am not saying that all priest do that but you kinda lose your trust when someone like that does that. i know that there has been other people to commit the same crime but being a priest changes the whole story because they are a holy figure and people believe in them.

I never judge a book by its cover. All priests that wear their white collars aren't good people, mothers in cute dresses caring their children aren't all good people, teens in all black with dog collars are all bad people, people with crosses or crucifixs aren't all good people either. I do think people with crosses are Christians but that doesn't mean that they are good people all the time. We all sin. I can't have an opinion on a person just by their appearance, I have to hear them talk and see their actions for a while to start forming an opinion.

this has puzzled me for a while . i had a friend who wore something around her neck.always. I forget what it was called. I asked her about it and she said it was so she would be saved when Jesus came. I asked her what about those that don't have on on. she said she didn't care about them. OK sounds fair. but if she was such a wonderful person why did she need it would not God already know. I wouldn't automatically assume anything when it come to whether some one is a good person or not. Not to mention you know what they say aout assuming. You make an *** out of U and ME

Heck no!
The cross jewelry means little to nothing since it's so common that it's, well, jewelry.
Someone carrying around the Bible... I get concerned about being waylayed and preached at by who knows what type of person. Lol, that's the truth!

Not at all
It might just mean they work at Hot Topic (which has the NICEST store clerks, btw)
But think of some of the jerks that have carried bibles while they did their deeds. David Koresh, Jim Jones, Jimmy Swaggart.
If they're *carrying* the bible, I'd be more concerned than if they weren't because people only put on a "costume" like that when they're hiding who they really are.
