Because lawyers. They only care about money and will walk over anyone. Also the news. They know these things get people to watch therefore their ratings go up and more money. Your right there are some bad cops, but every poffesional has some bad people.
What people forget is that cops don't put themselves in these positions. The people committing the crime do and the cops just respond. I would like to perosnally thank every cop out there for protecting us. I just wish the law was more on your side them the crimmals. The liberals are the ones who protect the bad guys instead of the cops.

You know I agree totally! Cops, and Judges both have a bad rep. They are just doing their jobs. I think it is the habitual offenders that seem to be the ones instagating the complaining about it.
You know in fact I believe they aren't even getting paid what they should be. Cops, Judges, Firemen, Military personal, all of them should be the ones getting the big bucks. Not Sports stars or Actors! Seriously they are the ones risking their life to protect us, not Michael Jordan, Tony Hawk, Tom Cruis, Brad Pitt, or even Paris Hilton!
It just seems wrong that they don't get hardly anything for a salery. We should go as far as waving @ them on a regular basis, I know this may sound stupid but, I like knowing the fact there are people our their looking out for me, people fighting for others freedoms.

Aviator touched on it, but forgot to explain that in addition to the violation of trust, you can also lose your freedom, home, family, dignity, and lots of other crap.

The FEW cops that abuse their authority are more vile than the criminals they bust. Problem is, they protect themselves. They don't single out and bust the problem cops, instead they circle the wagons and 'protect their own'. When will the majority of outstanding cops that do their duty faithfully realize that if they aren't correcting the problem, they are part of the problem?

All that is necessary for evil to proliferate is for good people to do nothing.

Cops protect each other, even though they are sometimes protecting bad cops.

Some cops also think that they are extra special because they are the law and they are rude and difficult to even speak to.

There are a lot of rough and unkind cops, which causes people to feel negatively about cops in general.

Take care,
Troy

the easy answer will be that the media contained in the U.S. falsely portrays the police as abusive and brutal. even as police brutality does certainly take position, it isn't each and every or perhaps maximum officials who abuse capacity. it really is a challenge that takes position between a small percentage of regulation enforcement workers. There are undesirable apples in each and every bunch and regulation enforcement isn't any different. in spite of the indisputable fact that, in case you seek for YouTube for the words "police brutality" you'll locate thousands of video clips that declare to contain situations of police officials abusing their capacity and unjustly putting their fingers on human beings. The humorous area is that the video posters will in basic terms teach you area of the incident. And, that component is the component interior of which an officer is utilising actual pressure adverse to somebody else. not in any respect ideas what this human being would have achieved that you probably did not see. The officer is immediately contained in the incorrect. I understand that there are officials accessible who received't have good human beings skills and, subsequently, they are distrusted or disliked by technique of the inhabitants they serve. yet, maximum officials are good at what they do and, otherwise, does not have jobs. that is critical even as viewing video clips like those aforementioned that one opens their ideas and probably even places himself/herself contained in the shoes of the officer. If one hasn't ever been a police officer, not in any respect been spat upon, not in any respect been hit, scratched, stabbed, choked or had their existence or the lives of their kinfolk threatened, it really is instantly ahead to face decrease back and Monday morning quarterback an officer and accuse suggested officer of misconduct or brutality. on the different hand, if one has been experienced in hand at hand strive against and is conventional with a thanks to computer screen the minimum volume of pressure had to regulate someone who's bodily combative, issues are considered from a a lot different perspective. yet, so long because the naysayers refuse to open their minds to the prospect of viewing an incident from the different part of the spectrum, this argument will be one for the a lengthy time period. even as the ideas is freed something will follow. i'm hoping this helps.

Ex-marine is a perfect example of narrow mindedness. More people die from speeders and people running red lights than in riots every year. I am sure ex-marine enjoys driving in area where he wont be side swiped by cars just running red lights or driving to fast.

Didn't you take a few minutes to think this out? How often do you arrive home after driving because police have kept people from breaking numerous traffic laws?

Yeah, but when you go to a restaurant, and get bad service, you say to yourself "most places give me good service, but this one didn't". But it isn't a big deal because its just food. When a bad cop does something, like harass you or something, it ingrains an anti-cop attitude. This is because we have a certain amount of trust and yeilding of power to police, and when one does you wrong, you feel like your trust and yielding of power has been violated. So people take it more personally.

Because the peole who they catch normally lie about them and the family of those "poor innocent people" always blame the cops for their family members being arrested.

people just don't like whistleblowers. They're inconvenient when one is trying to put expediency before morality.
Many are also still prejudiced, and racial profiling causes no love between people and cops.
And then there are the corrupt and/or lazy ones who are more publicized than the good ones.
