it's either a condiment, meat, cheese, or possibly a veggie. It's something you put on a sandwhich that begins with the letter U. Help!

There aren't any condiments that start with U. I can't find any meats, or even meat animals, whose names begin with U. Among vegetables, we have ulluco and urad beans. For cheeses, we have the Finnish baked Uunijuusto and Greek Urtha. They don't sound very likely, though.

Uni - (Japan) Raw sea urchin roe. The Sicilians also eat it as "ricci di mare". It can taste either like thick cream or low tide, depending on whether it's really fresh or not.

Unagi - (Japan) Fresh-water eel

Ugali - (Kenya) White, opaque, almost tasteless substance served in a slice or lump. Similar to solidified wallpaper paste. Best enjoyed if almost starving. Probably similar to poi.
