I just watched the new version of The Omen...the thought of the anti-christ is scarier than the film. I'm curious to find out how Christians and other religions interpret this prophecy.

The number 7 represents perfection, wholeness and completion. The number 7 represents God, and the number 6, man's number, comes close to it, but not quite.
The number 3 represents the Trinity of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. So, 3 sixes-- 666 represents spiritually, a man's attempt to become God. The antichrist will march into the Temple in Jerusalem, which should be built soon, and he will proclaim himself to be god, and the world will worship him as god. But he will just be a man.

i do believe the anti-christ will be human.about the 666 number.it is already been inserted to a lot of people,its called the "veri chip"that is what is called the mark of the beast.it is either put into your hand near the the thumb on the right hand,or .its to keep track of you it can be inserted in your forehead.this device will be used to track you ,like if you want to draw money from the bank ,shopping.etc.its what the bible says and i for one would rather have my head cut off before if i was forced to put the chip in ,the chip can find any data ,about a persons where abouts.would you have it done?i hope not,from mikhal in israel.

The anti Christ is not a person.
It is a term that is meant to be descriptive of the way certain pseudo Christians pretend to be followers of Jesus. People like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell, They are a minority, but they are so vocal they drown out the rest.
Jesus always stood for a loving, inclusive, nonjudgmental approach to his fellow man.
The bigot pseudo Christians see their brand of Christianity as an exclusive club from which they judge all others as being unworthy of any fate other than burning in hell.
Their actions are almost the exact opposite of what Jesus Christ taught.
Hence the name Antichrist, or opposite of Christ.

It's all in the Bible. There will be a human anti-christ who will come and reign in the end times. He will create a one-world religion and goverment and basically make it illegal to worship any God but him. There's soooo much more - its' all throughout the Bible.
