I think you contacted the God Echo myself...funny how we are quick to dismiss old Gods that we thought had been put to pasture.

Seriously, that COULD of Been GOD. And no, GOD don't Play Games with Someones Salvation.
It Cost GOD too much, when a Person Rejects HIM and ends up in Hell.
And Yes, GOD Does have a Great Sense of Humor. HE does!

I believe that God does have a sense of humor and that our humor is but a reflection of His. He also knows all things, including your heart and mind. He knows whether or not you truly seek Him. If you do, He promises to be found.
To answer your question seriously. Was that the voice of God? I think you know the answer to that. If not, we actually learn to recognize God's voice by reading the Bible and getting to know Him and His ways.

do the needle on a string test. hold a fishign wire string with a needle on it and ask questions. say if this then swing clockwise and if this then swing counter clockwise. done? well now the truth; your brain tells the small muslces in your hand to move subconsciesly in the direction you are leaning when you pose the question.
there is always an answer sometimes its just not in the spot you are looking.
