My sister had it 7 years ago and she did not get treated right away, she was on level 3. She tells me that was the worst level to be on. She was on heavy antibiotics and it took a year before she was feeling her self. Her heart muscle has weaken and she does get out of breath a lot, but it took her months to get treated finally because the many Dr.s she seen said that she can't have Lyme's there are no ticks in Mi, finally she found a specialist in Saginaw Mi. and was tested, it came back negative but she got tested again and came back positive, sometimes it takes more then once to come back positive, I guess if you did nothing about it, it could kill you, It really takes a toll on your body, check out the Lyme's disease sites and you will see, Good luck with you if you have it.

There is enough research on lyme disease. I believe when the disease of the deadly bite is caught in time and you see your doctor right away I don't believe it will cost your life.

If untreated, YES. Typical symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans. If left untreated, infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system. Most cases of Lyme disease can be treated successfully with a few weeks of antibiotics.
