I seriously can't understand how anyone can live in 2006 in the western world, and believe that they are in any way controlled by a god or a devil. In every aspect of your life, you look for a reason. On a trivial level, if you get a bill for $1000 you want to know why it is not the $500 you expected. If you get chest pain, you go to the doctor to find out why. If you are having trouble with your relationship you (generally) talk to your partner to find out why. If you lose your job, your boss will tell you why. I could go on but you know what I am talking about. It is such a cop out to have any up or down in your day-to-day life, and attribute it to some fictional character from the middle east centuries ago.

The devil does exist and is constantly making trouble. That is why we have so much evil in the world today.

No he does not exist. See how religion makes some people unreasonable and just plain crazy. If you believe the devil exists, you know god exists. Ask god.

The biggest trick I ever pulled off is convincing the devil I did not exist.

The "devil" came about with the christian religion. I do not believe in the devil, because once you give a name to the negative you make it real. Just my take on your question. Blessings.

As an actual personage? No, but I believe that a degree of the devil exists in everyone.

Definitely. Who got Adam and Eve out of Heaven? Who tempts people to commit all the sins from the beginning till the end of days?

Peace

no i do not.the church created the devil as a way to control us..."if you steal,or lie the devil will get you and you will burn in an eternal hell"...get real!why would a God who loves us create an evil entity to tempt us into eternal damnation?if your child used a bad word would you douse him with gas and set him on fire???think for a moment how stupid it all sounds..God created us to live in love and peace..and for a while we did......then man created evil....and as a way to control evil, the church created the devil to scare us into submission.....i love and worship my God and do not believe him to be so heartless to let even the worst of us to suffer for eternity.he forgives,he loves and wouldnt do us like that.there are different levels of existance after death and a rapist or murderer might spend his existance on a lower level of existance where as someone such as mother theresa would be at a higher level..you must be near perfect to be in the presence of God so if you so choose you can keep returning to earth to learn from the mistakes of your other lives so you can one day get to the level where you can face your maker...but alas..no devil my friend....except the one who will come to your door begging for treats on the 31st of october.....
